Kevin Han
Kevin Han is an Associate Professor and Edward I. Weisiger Distinguished Scholar in the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University. He received a PhD in Civil Engineering (Construction Engineering and Management emphasis) and Master of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a MS in Civil Engineering (Construction Engineering and Management emphasis) and a BA in Architecture/Minor in Structural Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.

Doyun Lee
I am a postdoc scholar at CARL. I have earned PhD in Civil Engineering and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NC State. I also have a Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Kyunghee University in Korea. My current research focuses on developing and validating a construction welding robot. [email]

Nick Crowder
I am a PhD student in Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering specialization in Structural Engineering. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from NCSU. I've worked on qualification of electrical substation equipment subjected to earthquake excitation under supervision of Dr. Abhinav Gupta. With Drs. Han and Gupta, I am currently working on improving piping design and contruction processes by integrating construction models (BIM) with structural models (ANSYS/Abaqus). [email]

Nailah Afshan
I am a PhD student in Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering. I completed my Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from Jamia Hamdard ( Delhi, India). I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from National Institute of Technology (Srinagar, India). My previous research experiences are in the areas of Digital Image Processing and basic Machine Learning. My current research focuses on 360 degree Visualization using SLAM and its applications. Brayan Diaz
I am a Fulbright Scholar, currently in a program towards a Ph.D. in Learning and Teaching in STEM- Science Education at NCSU). I received a bachelor's and M.Sc. in Chemistry at the University Federico Santa María Technical University (UTFSM). I was very proud to receive a Trajectory Sport Award to athletes who have demonstrated leadership and highlighted sports careers at UTFSM and Undergraduate Research Grant from the Center of Ionic Liquids (CILIS-University of Chile). My interests are focused on studying the pedagogical theories that are linked to the teaching-learning strategies. I am especially interested in understanding the linkages between the different learning styles and skills of engineering students and their success in pursuing the goals that they had set for themselves when they entered the University. Liannian Wang
I am a 2021 Fall PhD student in Civil Engineering, concentrating on Construction Engineering. I am working on integrating asset management and BIM for construction and supply chain management of industrial projects. I earned a Master's degree of Management Science and Engineering in Construction Management at Tianjin University. Nick Albergo
I am a PhD student in Computer Science at NCSU with experience and interest in robotics and artificial intelligence. I graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science in May 2018, and took a year to work before coming to NCSU. My research with Doctor Kevin Han will involve using multiple robotic arms working together to perform welding tasks. [email]
